LINE OPERATIONS FLIGHT OPERATIONS OFFICERS - FLIGHT PLANNING

Responsibilities:

- Supporting, briefing, and assisting the PIC in collecting, filtering, evaluating, and applying operational rules, documents, or data relevant to the safe conduct of each flight;

- Assisting the PIC in all activities associated with the pre-flight phase;

- Monitoring flight planning automated activities (e.g. LIDO Flight 4D – AOS module) and producing operational flight plans (e.g. LIDO Flight 4D – Interactive Flight Planning module), whilst filing/verifying their respective ATC flight plans, in accordance with company policies;

- Executing all flight planning activities comprising analysis of meteorological conditions, adequacy of aerodromes and routes to be flown, aircraft performance, NOTAMS, MEL/CDL restrictions, whilst analysing any other information or restriction that may be relevant for the safe conduct of each flight, thus guaranteeing the operational and safety limits in flight planning;

- Divulging the fuelling order for each flight for Loadsheet production, in compliance with the airline’s fuel policy;

- Analysing the most profitable routes in accordance with Air Traffic restrictions, as well as overflying and fuelling charges, in order to plan the most efficient route;

- Monitoring and reacting to any FDCC’s alerts, while taking the appropriate actions to minimize deviations and to avoid irregularities on TAP’s flights;

- Safety Reporting culture for continuous improvement.

Whenever needed, substituting any other Line Operations FOO or Supervisor, in all described functions

Applicants for FOO position shall meet the following minimum requirements:

- Successful completion of high school education;

- Fluency in both written and spoken Portuguese language;

- A minimum proficiency level of B2 (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) in the English language;

- Hold a valid aeronautical FOO license issued by the Portuguese Aviation Authority (ANAC).

Candidates with a valid Portuguese FOO licence and holding the required minimum experience are accepted. Experience as FOO from another company will be valued.
