Manager Distribution
TAP is looking for a highly dynamic and self-motivated individual to manage the distribution area of TAP.
The Distribution Manager maintains and develops relationships with distribution partners (GDSs, NDC aggregators, Self-Booking Tools and travel agencies) and ensures the successful running of the technological channels available for those partners. The Distribution Manager is responsible to define and execute the distribution strategy and assess impact on existing business processes and systems to modernize the way TAP distributes its content, acting as a NDC subject matter expert. The Distribution Manager is also responsible to define and optimize NDC onboarding processes to facilitate direct integration of third parties.
Essential functions
• Partner with leaders across key commercial groups to advocate holistic analysis of channel strategy optimization and prioritization
• Effectively analyse the performance and ROI by channel globally, identifying opportunities to improve revenue and/or reduce costs
• Evaluate economic impact of significant distribution initiatives that affect revenue and/or cost performance
• Design and coordinate global distribution principles and a policy for indirect sales that align with channel optimisation strategies
• Develop and maintain communication materials for use with internal and external stakeholders
• Lead NDC expansion strategy, on-boarding & develop its product roadmap
• Work with IT to identify technical improvements and prioritze the backlog of NDC
• Work closely with key stakeholders in Legal, Finance, Commercial, RM, Sales and Helpdesk to ensure terms and conditions with 3rd party distribution service providers meet long-term commercial objectives
• Maintain thorough understanding of key industry distribution strategies and trends
• Develop and share industry distribution expertise with TAP leadership and key stakeholders
Knowledge and skills
• Solid understanding of airline distribution environment and its evolution.
• Technical expert of NDC (Subject Matter Expert).
• Excellent analytical skills, including capacity to assemble information and draw logical conclusions, with ability to translate detailed complexity into simple clear messages.
• Strong organizational and planning skills; comfortable working independently, prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while keeping track of several projects at the same time.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; having ability to drive buy-in from diverse stakeholders.
• Strong work ethic; delivers results in ambiguous and time-pressured situations.
• Collaborative team player
• Speak and write fluent English
