Pricing Analyst

1) Pricing Analyst - Revenue Management

2) The Pricing Analyst has the responsibility to monitor and gather information on competitor fares actions, implement strategic pricing decisions related with global fare management and maintain the quality and accuracy of all fare structures assigned. Together with the O&D Demand Analyst, the Pricing Analyst shall maximize the revenue, protect and increase market shares and remain competitive with benchmark carriers.

3) Responsabilities

  • Conduct regular analysis of competitor fares changes and make appropriate recommendations;
  • Develop, implement and monitor point-to-point and connection fare structures, as well as carrier imposed surcharges per market (Point-of-Sale), in accordance with the business objectives of TAP Air Portugal for the overall network;
  • Translate business opportunities into pricing solutions based on the feedback and market intelligence from Sales functions worldwide on competitor market fares and practices;
  • Implement Codeshare and Interline agreements in pricing structures in order to enlarge sales possibilities;
  • Initiate pricing programs that stimulate passenger demand and work closely with the O&D Demand Analyst to identify the markets and traffic flows requiring stimulation;
  • In an O&D Revenue Management environment, the Pricing Analyst will be responsible for the inputs to the Fare component of the O&D system and be accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of the Pricing and Revenue Accounting data;
  • Setting up and maintaining communication links with Sales, Marketing and other relevant departments to ensure coordination and flow of information concerning market conditions and dynamics.

4) Key Requirements

  • University degree in Management, Economics or Mathematics
  • Fluent in English
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office applications
