JOB DECRIPTION
Position: Cargo Sales Agent - Promotion & Sales
Mission: Participate in sales and after-sales activities with the TAP Air Cargo sales network to ensure the logistical delivery of services in line with targets, policies, and procedures of the airline.
Brief Job Description:
Coordinate sales activities through regular visits to cargo agents in northern Italy, providing initial assistance and information, understanding, and meeting their needs. Offer win-win intermodal solutions to acquire the shipment. Use of cargo intelligence tools to monitor the market area, drive sales, and retain customers. Following up on shipments and providing after-sales support.
Collaborate with operational and commercial teams in Italy and abroad, reporting directly to the Cargo Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule sales activities through regular visits to northern Italy cargo agents for commercial contacts and general support.
- Conduct inside sales activities via email, phone and call.
- Pursue and secure business in line with business objectives.
- Identify customer needs and provide solutions.
- Communicate significant trends, rate changes, routes, cargo regulations, and customs matters.
- Implement market pricing policies, including special rate negotiations with customers.
- Analyze market statistical information to follow up and pursue business targets.
- Identify and establish business contacts with potential customers.
- Ensure customer relationship management tools are updated on time.

- Cooperate with operational team supervising and instructing handling agents

- Native/proficient Italian speaker with full business fluency in English.
- Willingness to travel locally for client meetings and a valid driving license.
About You:
- University degree (preferable).
- Good knowledge of air cargo with at least 2-3 years of experience in sales or operations.
- Native Italian speaker with fluent English for business interactions.
- PC literate with strong knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Flexible and able to work independently.
- Problem-solving skills and efficiency-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated skills in influencing and effective communication.
- Proficiency in corporate sales and negotiation techniques.
- Ability to thrive in a cross-functional team environment.
